Careful and thoughtful construction to protect beach plovers and natural surroundings

This house was carefully sited and constructed to avoid damaging the surrounding sand dunes. Built partly on an existing foundation and partly on a new a pile foundation, it is bordered by the Atlantic, the Batson River, and the Rachel Carson Preserve. Wright-Ryan built a steel frame with wood infill to accommodate the structural requirements of the open floor plan design. Our Millwork division provided custom Douglas fir cabinetry and moldings throughout the kitchen, bath, and offices for both owners, as well as a unique steel and wood stair.
