An elegant vacation home that blends perfectly into a lakefront location.
Everything about this collection of lakefront tiny houses brings worlds together—east meets west, rural becomes urbane, individual cabins form one vacation home compound, and the outside comes in.
Our client wanted each cabin to enjoy a unique view and connection with the natural beauty of the wooded lakefront. Asian-influenced minimalism feels perfectly at home in this Sebago Lake camp. Large glazed pocket doors slide away and disappear, allowing the outdoors to flow through the interior space of this vacation home.
The architect designed clean lines to let the richness of the natural woodwork come through. The material palette for both the inside and outside of the cabins matches the materials of the site: stone and wood, supporting a weathered copper roof.
The stone fireplace, covered patio, nautical light fixtures, outdoor shower and charming rain chain create a cabin feel, and attention to handcrafted details—from the window seat built-ins to the unique kitchen island—achieves the high quality and comfort of a Wright-Ryan custom home.
